Happy Birthday Keira Leigh!
The story of Keira's birth:
My water broke in my sleep Saturday, February 14th at 1:45am. Mike and I went to the hospital and were all checked in and settled by 2:30am. As much as I knew I should sleep while I could, I couldn't because I was too excited to meet our sweet lil peanut. By noon, I wasn't progressing fast enough so I was put on Pictocin, and by 5pm I had requested the much unanticipated epidural. At 10pm, I was told that I had gone too long with my water broke and that we needed to have a c-section to prevent any possible infections. She was born with a low-grade fever, and needed to be on antibiotics until her cultures and tests came back negative.
She was born at 10:48pm, 20 inches long and 8lbs 1 oz.
